4) Name 2 examples where scatter plots are used in real life:

construction, people who like math

5) Write an equation of a best fit line for the following scatter plot:

(3,9)(5,8)

-At 11 units, what is a good prediction for amount of minutes?

idk

6) Find a scatterplot problem, paste it in here and give the answer.
Student Number

2)How to put data in the scatter plot.

Now answer the following questions. Post a link that you used to help you research it.
1) What is a scatter plot?

A scatter plot or scattergraph is a type of mathematical diagram using Cartesian coordinates to display values for two variables for a set of data.

2) What is a line of best fit?

A line of best fit (or "trend" line) is a straight line that best represents the data on a scatter plot.
This line may pass through some of the points, none of the points, or all of the points.

3) What is a curve of best fit?

Curve fitting is the process of constructing a curve, or mathematical function, that has the best fit to a series of data points, possibly subject to constraints

4) Name 2 examples where scatter plots are used in real life:

For math majors, and whoever enjoys math.

5) Write an equation of a best fit line for the following scatter plot:

(4,60) (7,80)

-At 11 units, what is a good prediction for amount of minutes?

I dunno.

6) Find a scatterplot problem, paste it in here and give the answer.
Student Number

m = (80-60) / (7-4)
m = 20 / 3
m = 20/3

y = mx + b
y = 20/3x + b
60 = (20/3)4 + b
60 = 80/3 + b
100/3 = b

Thus a best fit equation is:
y = 20/3x + 100/3
